Center for Taxation and Public Governance
The Center for Taxation and Public Governance has been
established on July 1, 2005, by the Tax Institute of the
Utrecht School of Law (Utrecht University). The Center
focuses on education, research and public governance
activities (including technical assistance) in tax policy, tax
administration, tax management and legal drafting. The
opening of the Center was marked by a conference on
"Tax Reforms in Developing and Transition Economies".
On September 21, 2007 a conference on "Anti-Money
Laundering" was held to mark the start of the first Tax
Governance Programme. Since September 2007 our
Programme has been acknowledged by the Dutch
Ministry of Education.

If you are interested in our Tax Governance Programme
(TGP), see under education. To qualify for admission to
this Programme of the Utrecht School of Law, you must:

  • have finished a master in law. economics or
    management, or equivalent studies abroad;
  • have a minimum of two years relevant working
    experience in taxation in the public sector
  • be proficient in English, in which the programme will
    be taught;
  • demonstrate a high level of motivation and
    commitment.
