  • Do you want to learn how taxation can strengthen your country's
    revenue collection?
  • Is your tax administration being redesigned?
  • Does your revenue authority need to implement modern
management techniques or does it face capacity or efficiency
    challenges?
  • Do you want to learn more about alternative systems of taxation,
to help your government make better tax policy decisions?

Then the Tax Governance Programme is designed for you!
Schedule 2008-2009:
"A stepping stone towards promoting tax governance for developing as well as for advanced economies"
Let me begin by congratulating you with your initiative of establishing a Tax
Governance Programme, an endeavor that will inevitably be a stepping stone towards
promoting tax governance for developing as well as for advanced economies. You have
our full commitment in this regard, and we are eager to share your excitement.
We strive to fully support your programme's initiative as it provides ample exposure to
best tax systems and principles, and tax reform in general around the world. In this
regard, I am certain of the practical impacts of the programme's content in its ability to
translate theoretical tax principles into reality, as well as in promoting tax governance
in developing countries.
I am confident that we will mutually benefit from the intended programme that
incorporates educational, research-led, and public governance activity. I am also
confident that such joint cooperation between the Ministry and an extensively
experienced director of the programme shall be of immediate and direct benefit for the
Ministry's tax officials.
